Island Fence was founded in 1969 by Placido Lopez, who immigrated from Cuba with his family just two years earlier. Starting out as a local fence installer in the Miami-Dade area, Placido built the business from the ground up — one post, one panel, and one relationship at a time.

Through hard work, integrity, and a commitment to quality, Island Fence became a trusted name across South Florida. Today, that same legacy continues under the leadership of Placido’s children — Placido Jr., Evelyn, and Nestor — who proudly carry forward their father’s vision of excellence and service.

What began as a one-man operation has grown into a multi-location business dedicated to providing reliable fencing solutions for homes, businesses, and communities throughout the region.
